New Leadership, New Mission: The MMACP Era Has Begun

Since its founding in 2019, the Multimedia Arts Association of the Philippines (MAAP) has been a cornerstone for our creative community. Established by visionaries from both the academe and the industry, the association was built to unite Filipino creatives during a time of rapid change.

Through the challenges of the pandemic, we didn’t just survive - we thrived. From hosting impactful seminars to supporting vital regional programs for our constituents, we succeeded in building a home for artists and technologists alike. But as the landscape of our industry evolves, we believe our organization must evolve with it.

The Evolution: From Association to Council

As we look toward 2026, we are aiming higher. With a new roster of officers taking their oath, the founders have made the strategic decision to rename the organization to the Multimedia Arts Council of the Philippines (MMACP).

This isn't just a name change; it is a shift toward Social Entrepreneurship. We are stepping into a leadership role as an engine for professional growth, global standards, and purposeful work.

New Leadership & Global Recognition

Leading this ambitious new chapter are two dedicated figures in our community:

• Pauline Oderon steps in as our President, bringing a vision for a unified and empowered creative sector.

• Gerard Navarro takes on the role of Executive Director, focusing on the strategic growth and operational excellence of the Council.

The possibilities for this new era are already growing. We are proud to share that MMACP is now officially verified as a Google Non-Profit. This milestone opens doors to global grants and advanced technology, allowing us to serve our members with more power and precision than ever before.
